Term of Council
The term of the council members is two
calendar years. The President and the Vice President can serve two consecutive
terms at the most. The other members of the council can serve three
two-years-terms at the most.

Activities
The
society arranges two scientific seminars every year.
Year 2006:
The spring seminar about "Salt in nutrition" was held together with The
Association of Clinical and Public Health Nutritionists in Finland, March 28 in Kuopio. The society awarded two travel grants and two poster awards to its young
members.
The fall symposium "Facts and safety aspects of carbohydrates and sweeteners"
was held in November 23 in Helsinki, Finland.
Year 2007:
The spring symposium "Global aspects of human nutrition with two sessions I
Burden and prevention of chronic diseases and session II Nutrition projects in
developing countries" was held March 17 in Helsinki. The society awarded four
travel grants to young members.
The fall symposium will be held in November in Helsinki.
